Cinque Terre (five lands) is a beautiful area of the Italian Riviera which comprises five villages. As part of the Liguria region, the towns are connected by medieval style walkable paths. Monterosso, Vernazza, Corniglia, Manarolo and Riomaggiore are stunningly set on steep rock formations and a favored destination for everyone visiting Italy. AS 'mariners' towns, seafood is prevalent and many traditions can be enjoyed. Pesto, a condiment made of primarily fresh basil, is the flagship of tradition in the region. At Cinque Terre Ristorante, we make our pesto every day from the freshest and best quality ingredients. Other tradtional and always on the menu foods include Muscoli (mussels), Polpo (octopus), Gianchetti (anchovies), Gamberi (shrimp), Stoccafissu (dry aged cod), and a variety of seasonal seafood and artisan pizzas and pastas.
